Story

Crafted IN KINSHIP

Hi, I'm Lily. Having been raised in the remote countryside of the Upper Midwest, I have always known a kinship with nature. And my work is no different. This connection with the land informs every decision I make as a ceramics artist, beginning with my tools. I shape wet clay with wooden ribs and elephant ear sea sponges. Left unglazed, the high sand content clays I use are reminiscent of the natural variations in dirt roads and sandstone cliffsides.

My work is simple, inspired by nature’s gentleness. Subtle textures, natural tones, and organic shapes echo the peace of wild things. On all my pieces, you will find the iconic freckled pattern inspired by my namesake, the lily. My work is meant to be held and cherished for years to come—a reminder to slow down and find ease in the ordinary.

LIMITED PRODUCTION

Because each piece is handmade, only 80 units of each item are available annually. Limited production ensures we can maintain the highest standard of quality at every stage of production.

Eco-Friendly

We are a sustainable ceramics studio. The materials we rely on in production are made from wood, metal, sea sponges, and, of course, clay.
