The Full Story
About
Having been raised in the remote countryside of the Upper Midwest, I have always known a kinship with nature. And my work is no different. This connection with the land informs every decision I make as a ceramics artist, beginning with my tools. I shape wet clay with wooden ribs and elephant ear sea sponges. Left unglazed, the high sand content clays I use are reminiscent of the natural variations in dirt roads and sandstone cliffsides.
My work is simple, inspired by nature’s gentleness. Subtle textures, natural tones, and organic shapes echo the peace of wild things. On all my pieces, you will find the iconic freckled pattern inspired by my namesake, the lily. My work is meant to be held and cherished for years to come—a reminder to slow down and find ease in the ordinary.

Mission
My mission is to create kinship with the natural world around us. Each piece is a product of slow production, shaped with sustainable materials. My work is an invitation to you to offer mother nature a seat alongside you in your most intimate moments--morning coffees, evening reads, and late-night talks.
Vision
Each piece is adorned with the iconic freckled pattern inspired by my namesake--the lily. I hope it brings you joy and reminds you that our unique marks aren't imperfections, they're a playful expression of art.
